You've slaved away and created your latest labor of love:
a new TPT product!
Now, before you can post it to your store and start raking in the cha-chings, you need to create a preview image. Because let's face it: few people will consider a product (much less purchase it!) if they can't get a glimpse of what they're buying.
But previews can be time-consuming to make - especially with all of the re-sizing and adjusting to get all of the images just right - you want to show people what they'll be purchasing without allowing them to copy and paste your work without paying for it.
So, I'm here to help you out, my creative friend.
Here are 10 fast and easy steps to create a preview picture for any product:
Step 1: Finish your masterpiece and save each slide as a picture
Step 2: Open Picasa (or download it here for free!)
Step 3: Import your photos
Step 4: When prompted, import from a folder
Step 5: Choose the folder where your slides are saved. Select all and save your images to a Picasa folder
Step 6: Create a Photo Collage
Step 7: Choose your collage format
Step 8: Shuffle and adjust the pictures to your liking
Step 9: Publish Your Collage

Step 10: Share your preview with the world!

And VOILA! You're done! It's saved as a JPEG so you can upload it directly to TPT or add it to a PPT to save as a PDF (if you're including other pages or information)

That's great! I have only created previews using Powerpoint. Thanks for the awesome tech tip!

This is great...if someday I find that time to create. I tried 'pinning' but for some reason it won't. Any idea why?
ReplyDeleteIgnore the Pinterest problem...4th time was the charm I guess.
DeleteThanks for the step-by-step post.
Wow.....oh....wow! Thank for sharing this AMAZING advice! I was taking a long cut and snipping and clipping each slide....previews would take me forever to do! Thank you!!

Love this! Learning how to use Picasa was on my to-do list. Do you happen to have this in an easy-to-print form? I'd love to put it into my TPT Important Stuff Notebook
