Mathematical Monday: Changing Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers

Happy Monday, friends!
I have been loving "I {Heart} Recess"'s linky party each Monday as it helps me focus on the fun and engaging things we've been doing in math:
I feel like a broken record saying this, but this week we've been focusing on...
It feels like we've been studying fractions foreverrrr...
oh wait...
we have :)

My kiddos can successfully add, subtract, and multiply fractions. Now it's on to throwing mixed numbers in the mix!
One of the fundamental concepts the kids need to master is changing improper fractions to mixed numbers.
Here's a fun video that explains the concept:

Improper Fraction to Mixed Number
Once my students have learned the procedure, they just need to practice, practice, practice!
So to practice, I've created a fun Fraction Frenzy SCOOT!
If you haven't tried SCOOT with your students, you need to give it a try! You can use it to review basically any concept - and it gets your kids up and moving!
Here's a preview of the packet:
I'd love to GIVE AWAY a free packet - so let's play
