Must-Read Mentor Text: A Chocolate Moose for Dinner (Homophones)

Phew! Another week has come and gone. We spent a lovely Saturday doing "grown-up" things like getting our Washington driver's licenses and opening a bank account. We also spent the afternoon lazing around, watching movies, going for a nice walk, and I cut out hundreds of feet of lamination (ok, so not hundreds, but it sure felt that way!)
This week's theme was Language Arts and I wanted to share
one of my favorite books for teaching homophones:
This adorable story is about a little girl who sees like very literally: Amelia-Bedelia style :)

  The students ROAR when I read this to them - and they have so much fun pointing out the homophones and imagining them from this little girl's perspective!
This week I was hard at work, creating a MEGA packet to use when studying homophones. It is over 200 pages!!! And includes all of these activities:
