Monday Made-It: New Apartment!

Hello from Seattle!
I'm joining you from my new home - and am ready to get back in the blogging world!
I'm joining Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her "Monday Made-It"
This week is my one-year blogging anniversary!
Come back on Friday to take advantage of this awesome EVERYBODY WINS giveaway!

I moved to Seattle one week ago and have spent many hours unpacking and setting up our lovely new apartment. My parents flew with us to help up unpack and unload. They were a TREMENDOUS help - I could not have done this without them.
Here are some photos of my progress:
Here's my front door - my Dad was my picture-hanging guru :)
Our living room
My kitchen!
My little display nook:
Our bedroom:
The beautiful closet!
This was quite the project! :)
At the bottom of the closet, you'll see a gray tub.
That is something new I'm trying - it's my "gift tub"
I LOVE to buy gifts. I buy Christmas gifts all year round.
I figure if I see something that is perfect for someone, then I should buy it before I can't find it again
(or I forget about it!)
It also makes the Christmas season a lot less hectic because I've been "collecting" for months. Now I have a tub where I can store the things I buy - and my husband has been warned to stay out! :)
 The bathrooms:
1. Our Paris-themed guest bath
2. Our Northwest woodlands themed bath:
My husband was determined to have a woodsy-outdoorsy room to match our new surroundings. Now it wasn't my favorite idea, but he really doesn't ask for anything, so I wanted to indulge him in this :)
Isn't that a cool shower curtain?
I wanted to go more woods-y and less lodge-y, so it was perfect!

We have another bedroom that is a combo office-craft room, but it is currently a "danger zone" as it is temporary home to all of my classroom items. So, for your sake, I will not show a picture until it is cleaned and organized :)
After living in "limbo" for 2 weeks, I was ready for two things: to stop living out of a suitcase and to start cooking again!
This week I was able to get back into the kitchen-mode and we made one of our favorites to celebrate our first Friday night in our apartment :)

I hadn't updated my TpT store in so long I was worried I would get an error message due to inactivity :)
I woke up this morning and decided to get cracking on my to-do list. I made three new products.
Here's one:

Phew! Well it feels good to be back in the blogging world. Sorry for being MIA for so long - thanks for sticking with me as I find JOY in the JOURNEY.
Stop by on Friday for my Blogiversary giveaway!

  1. I can not believe how much you have gotten done in 1 week and you did not just order in pizza you made the dough! That is awesome!

    1. My hubby is a hard-core pizza lover. Growing up, his family always had pizza on Friday nights. Now I confess he's biased, but he says there's nothing like New York pizza - so my homemade is second best :)

  2. Way to go! So glad to hear you made and you had lots of help! I have to admit that I am EXHAUSTED just looking at al that you have accomplished! I wish I had half of your energy and stamina!

    1. Hahah! Thank-you :) I was energized simply by the desire to not trip on boxes for longer than necessary!

  3. I have a gift tub as well, and it's awesome! It also works well when I find little things that my girls would like when I need a quick bribe ;)

  4. I am so impressed with how much you have finished in your apartment. It looks wonderful-nice and comfy.

I love the idea of a gift tub-I buy gifts all year as well and normally keep them in a bag in my closet. I am going to need to pick up my own tub next time I am at Target!

  7. It must be relieving to have a pretty much unpacked apartment! Like the gift tub idea. Seattle is beautiful! (I have a friend that lives in Pasco, just outside of the Seattle area.)

  8. Congrats on making it to Seattle and getting unpacked in what seems like record time!! I'm happy to have you back in the blogging world! LOVE the tree shower curtain!

  9. Wow, you've been so productive in such a short time! Thank you for linking up, that recipe sounds so good. I've heard wonderful things about NYC pizza, so if this recipe is so well loved by your husband it has to be good!

Congrats on your blogging anniversary too!
